At the University of Münster, we evaluated the lecture recording service over three semesters. This presentation will present the results of the evaluation as well as the results of a cluster analysis based on the students’ self-reports about how they used the lecture recordings. The cluster analysis was done using partitioning around medoids with Gower distance. Five clusters of students were identified. These clusters mainly differ in the amount of lecture recordings watched and the amount of lectures the students missed. The results will be discussed in terms of future research on learning strategies involving lecture recordings.
